writing reflection

Ideas and content
For both essays, the characterization of both characters influenced or changed the story. For every statement I made in my essays, I gave evidence to support what I said. However I did not give enough proof to support my statement because on some parts of my essays, it needed to be more clearer and detailed. For my thesis statement, I gave a clear and effective quotes for the statement I made. Also making sense in context. But I could have added more detail and maybe add in a hook to grab the readers attention. I thought that the Alchemist essay was better than the Julius Caesar essay because I did not feel I had enough time to develop the Julius Caesar essay. Lastly for both essay I definitely needed better word choices because most of the words I used was simple and boring.

Organization
On both of my essays, there was a intro, conclusion and body paragraphs. Both have progression making it make sense because the storyline is from the beginning to the end. For both essays especially the Julius Caesar essay, I should have planned more because I don't think I was as organized as the Alchemist essay. I could have planned a lot better so that it would make it really easy for me to write an essay because I have all my ideas and bullet points all written down. If I did plan well, my sentence would make more sense and become more clearer.

Personal growth
I thought overall the Alchemist essay was better than the Julius Caesar essay because I got to spend time working on it and fixing it while I had limited amount of time with the Julius Caesar essay. In the Alchemist, there was better vocab, better sentence structure, more evidence and good a conclusion not relating everything back to the thesis statement. In general, the thesis statement of the Alchemist was more interesting.After this I felt more confident of myself being able to plan better have more of a understanding of how to make a well structured essay.

SLR reflection
I would choose thinking creatively when crafting an essay because I usually have to think really hard on how to make a well developed essay so that everyone else including the teachers will like it. Thinking of how to attract peoples attention mostly on thesis statement and conclusion.
